As the weather warms up in May, Mountain House residents can enjoy lots of fun local events. From street parties and fairs, to Cinco de Mayo celebrations, to wine festivals, to live entertainment, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss the MHCSD Community Meeting on May 21st. Kids will want to take their bikes to Mountain House’s Bike Rodeo on May 9th, and residents can pick up dinner from local food trucks on Mountain House Restaurant Nights, May 12th and 28th. May 6: Pleasanton 1st Wednesday Street Party
Downtown Pleasanton’s annual Cinco de Mayo-themed Street Party will be from 6 pm to 9 pm. In addition to downtown’s shops and restaurants, there will be several vendors and live music. For more information, visit pleasantondowntown.net.
May 7: Danville Spring Wine & Chocolate Stroll
Enjoy a fun-filled evening of wine tasting, decadent chocolates and shopping during Danville’s Spring Wine & Chocolate Stroll. Select businesses will stay open late to host some of our area’s finest wines, which will accompanied by gourmet chocolate samples, compliments of Danville Chocolates. Event hours are 6 pm to 9 pm. May 9: Dancing With The Tracy Stars
Dancing with the Tracy Stars is an event that will have the whole Tracy community talking! Similar to the popular TV show, six of Tracy’s prominent community members are paired up with professional ballroom dancers to learn a ballroom dance routine over a one week period. Add in some video highlights and a judging panel, and you have “Dancing with the Tracy Stars”, where the audience will vote for the winner of the coveted mirror ball trophy. May 9: Mountain House Bike Rodeo
To celebrate the wonderful weather and Bike Month, the Mountain House CSD, Tracy Cyclery, Lathrop Police Services, and The American Dog will be partnering once again to bring the Bike Rodeo back to Mountain House. Kids can bring their bike to be registered and inspected, make sure their helmet and bike are a proper fit, and learn to stop and start and go through the obstacle courses. Kids can enter to win a brand new bike and all kids that complete the obstacle course will receive a free hotdog from The American Dog. There will also be food for the parents to enjoy, an official registration certificate for all participants, and some other giveaways. May 12 & 28: Mountain House Restaurant Night
Enjoy dining out in Mountain House! Food trucks will be at Central Park from 5 pm to 8 pm.
May 16-17: Lodi ZinFest Wine Festival
The annual ZinFest Wine Festival is Lodi’s premier wine tasting event. The event includes a Wine Festival on the 16th from noon to 5 pm at Lodi Lake Park and winery tours on the 17th. For more information, visit zinfest.com.
May 21: Mountain House Community Meeting
7 pm – 9 pm. The meeting will take place in the Bethany Elementary Multi-purpose Room. You don’t want to miss this informative meeting about what’s happening in our wonderful town!
May 22: Main Street Friday Night Jazz
Once a month, the lobbies of the Grand Theatre in Tracy are transformed into a swanky jazz night club. Main Street Music presents various Jazz musicians from around the region. May 24: Pleasanton Antiques & Collectibles Faire
The Spring Antique & Collectibles Faire is returning to Downtown Pleasanton on Sunday, May 24 from 8 am – 4 pm. There will be up to 400 dealers selling antiques and collectibles only. All items will be twenty years or older. For more information, visit pleasantondowntown.net.
May 24-25: San Ramon Art & Wind Festival
The San Ramon Art & Wind Festival blows into town on May 24th and 25th in San Ramon Central Park from 10 am to 5 pm daily. The festival includes fine arts & crafts booths, entertainment, world class kite-flying demonstrations, free kite making workshops, free children’s activities, food and beverage vendors, a non-profit info alley, displays and more.
